About Janell
I was born and raised in North Idaho and I knew from an early age that makeup and beauty was important to me. I pursued that with Barbizon modeling for 2 years and learned a lot of what I know now from that experience.
After deciding to make a career as a makeup artist I enrolled in the Elite Pro Makeup program and graduated as a certified makeup artist in the fall of 2009.
Now in my 3rd year I am loving it more and more. I have been involved in tons of incredible photo shoots and been able to help many brides with their wedding day makeup. It’s a great experience to spend some time with a bride and try different looks until we find the one she knows is going to blow the groom’s socks off!

Here in Coeur d’Alene and Spokane you have freelance makeup artists like myself, you have salons, makeup counters, and of course there is always the option to do it yourself. There are pro’s and cons to all of these but here are a couple reasons you should consider hiring a Freelance Makeup Artist to do your Bridal Makeup.

Let me help you look your best on this special day. All wedding packages come with a per-consultation where we will do a trial run to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for. If possible I love to schedule these the same day as bridal showers, engagement shoots, or other big events so you can get more bang for your buck. All prices include air brush makeup application and lashes at no extra cost. Travel fees will be negotiated if event is more than 1hrs drive time.
Whether it’s Prom night or just a really important evening on the town where you need to look your absolute best I would love to help you make it a night to remember. These prices are for the Cd’a Spokane area. If you’re outside the area please give me a call and we can come up with something.

F.A.Q’s
Question – Do You Use An Airbrush?
Answer – I do but I also offer good old brush application as well if that what you’re looking for.
Question – What products do you use?
Answer – I try not to be closed minded when it comes to the products I use. I use any product that I test and love. My kit however is made up largely in part of M.A.C and NYX. I also use OCC for my airbrush foundation.
Question – Do you apply lashes? Is it extra?
Answer – I do apply the lash strip type of lashes. If you’re looking for lash extensions you’ll have to get them put on prior to your wedding day by someone other than me. I do not charge extra for lash application it’s all included in your fabulous bridal package!
Question – How much time does it usually take to complete one person?
Answer – That mostly depends on how in depth of a look we are doing it can take as long as 1 hour or as little time as 30 minutes
Question – Do you draw up contracts?
Answer – No I try to be the most stress free person in your wedding experience. I’m sure you’re already inundated with 20 other contracts you have to keep track of. If you would like one drawn up however I would be happy to accommodate you!
Question – Is there a deposit?
Answer – Yes I require a $50 deposit at time of booking. This deposit saves your date and puts you on my calendar. The deposit will be deducted from your overall total at the time of final payment and is completely refundable up until 2 weeks before your wedding.
Question – When is final payment due?
Answer – Final payment is required to be turned in by the time I leave your venue on your wedding day. You may make your payment at any time beforehand and in as many payments as you would like. I can take a credit card the day of.
Question - Do you do hair?
Answer - No….Trust me this is a good thing However if you need a great suggest just let me know and I can give you some names!
